This thread is for questions regarding 2.0. You should make a new thread in the Help With Scripts forum asking about that.  smile

Ok thanks

Re: Got questions about Scratch 2.0?

What are the forums going to look like? Will it be the same, just with the fancy schmancy 2.0. sleek vector flash SHAZAM look in the background?
Or will the forums become FANCIFUL?

(note- I actually like the 2.0. look, dont assume I'm mocking it)

Vectors are much better than blocky bitmaps.

Re: Got questions about Scratch 2.0?

Speaking as someone who works with vectors, it can also get a lot more messier than bitmaps too, so I hope there'll also be a way to shut it off

Re: Got questions about Scratch 2.0?

I read Scratch works as software for Lego WeDo (...and was it also for Lego Mindstorms?)

- will 2.0 also work for this (these)?

Thank you!

Have you heard of Mesh? It's a variation of Scratch that lets you play online.

It's actually a feature in Scratch, although a hidden one. Most modifications do have Mesh enabled by default though.

How can I use it?

The 2.0 forums will be based on DjangoBB. I assume they'll use the skin that comes with it. But if they would modify it to use the 2.0 look, that would be awesome.  big_smile

DjangoBB says they try to capture the PunBB experience on a Django server. And Pun and Flux (what we use) are pretty similar. In fact, Flux started out as Pun, but then they forked because Pun got bought by a for-profit company, or something like that.

All I  care about is the quote button being on the bottom, and a non-white and green theme.

Re: Got questions about Scratch 2.0?

A new colour scheme. Yay! Can the rearrange everything while they're at it, e.g. The view your posts at the top of every page to make it quicker and easier to use?
Personally, in my opinion, the whole website isn't very user-friendly, and needs updating and rearranging, but thats me. I hope scratch 2.0 sorts that.

Re: Got questions about Scratch 2.0?

bump on my question above if:

Will Scratch 2.0 will work for the Lego WeDo robots?

...and adding question if it is possible to make it work with the Lego Mindstorms robots? I found Enchanting that makes this possible but appearently this converts things into other languanges etc.

Thank you!

Yes. Some users just aren't on the prototype because they joined after it was started, in January.

Yes, in the prototype it's under the label "Discuss" and you're not allowed to look at it in the prototype.

Could we make an online game were you can see other users on the game you have made?
