I now realize that. I don't even know why people keep posting in this...

I'm not saying it does, but it might. Why do I think it might? Well, Scratch may be the cause of my computer getting the blue screen o' death like, 4 times because it's mainly one of the only sites I go on (besides clubpenguin, google, gmail, and game sites (safe ones) like miniclip) but really Scratch is pretty much it. Please if you're on the Scratch Team I'd appreciate it if you'd search for one.

Ok this could get confusing, but listen and follow the instructions CAREFULLY. Open the project and let your computer crash. Restart your computer. IMMEDIATELY hold down f8. Scroll down to Safe Mode. Once that's over with press Start > My Computer and right-click OS (C:). Press the tools tab and press Check Now... Check off Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors ONLY and press Start. If that doesn't work, go back to the f8 menu, but this time, select Safe Mode with Command Prompt. You will go into Safe Mode but there will be a window. Type this in: CHKDSK /X. If it cannot lock the current drive, type Y and press enter, and then restart your computer (Only restart if it cannot lock the drive!)!
...*Whew!* :)

Those game sites may not be as safe as you think. Ads can have viruses in them.

My uncle thinks it is a virus, too. I sent the ST a message, and they said it's not. I knew it wasn't. People all over the world went on Scratch and never got a virus. My proof: I've been on Scratch from 2007 to 2008, quit, and joined under this account. About 6 years. Or longer. Wait... I just thought of something for my sig: STOP SCRATCH HATERS, LIKE MY UNCLE! and it will have a link to sign that Scratch is not a virus. I'll show the results to my uncle. Sounds like a plan!

Scratch probably doesn't have the virus in it. It's probably your computer or the other websites you visit. How come you think Scratch is causing it?
Offline
The blue screen of death doesn't mean it's a virus, it mans you're crashing because your computer can't handle a memory drain like Scratch.

Offline
Yeah, the blue screen isn't to do with viruses and stuff like that, your computer probably just cant handle some things.

Try reinstalling Scratch.

Try a Linux live CD.

Blue Screen of Death: A screen that shows up when a computer wears out.

Time to get a new computer. 15 years?!!?! That's the oldest operational computer I've ever heard of! Most computers are cannot operate properly after about 7 years. I think it's just because you're running win 95 or something. MY computer only crashes when I run Chrome, IE's competitor. Then Windows 7 has a fit and gives me the dreaded blue screen,

I have gotten viruses several times from Miniclip. It's not as safe as you might think, because there's so many ads and popups. Even if you don't click them they can harm your computer. And whoa, your computer is old! I had a computer that when it got to be 6 years old it would barely even turn on! Scratch could be part of the problem though but not because of viruses but because of large projects. Even my three year old computer takes awhile to load projects, but if your computer is 15 years old, or a Windows '95, it could make it crash because of big projects. It could be overheating too. Make sure you turn it off when you aren't using it.
