I'd really like the username iMint, because that's my developer username that I am known as. However, someone has already taken iMint, but its a user who has absolutely no activity on his page and seems to be inactive. http://scratch.mit.edu/users/imint
Is there any way a moderator could remove that account or something?

Who knows if he has a thousand projects, but hasn't decided to upload them yet? The Scratch team wouldn't do that. It's not fair.

You're not to active either.

Well, that's a good point. XD
I picked up Java and C++ so i moved away from Scratch. But now i'm coming back... i have a lot to teach the community
I'll just use an alternative name. iMintDev should work nicely.

If you REALLY want iMint for the username, you could go iMint_ iMint- -iMint _iMint -iMint- _iMint_ etc.

Normally accounts aren't removed even if they're inactive - you never know when the owner will come back. Accounts can only be removed by the account owner.
Aside from that: Even if the account is removed, there would still be no way for you to get that name because the name will still recorded in the database (accounts aren't quite permanently deleted, they just become unrestorable).
Your best bet is to use an alternative name close to iMint, like what Mokat suggested.

What if they decided to become active again?

Or LMint with a lowercase l.

Well, it's their account, and it's taken, so I guess that's how it is.

the name iMint is not taken. Capital letters matter imint is taken, iMint is not.
Usernames are case-insensitive.

Wrong.
If someone attempted to sign up as WolvesStar97, it wouldn't work.
If someone attempted to sign up as LIGHTNIN, it wouldnt work.
If someone attempted to sign up as tRiNaRy, it wouldnt work.
etc. etc.

Is that not what I posted?

Yeah, but someone could still do Wolvesstar97-, -LIGHTNIN-, etc.
