hmmm

iOS 5 is about 777mb
so theres almost a gigabyte gone there

songs are about 4mb each
apps are about 5mb each
7gb will hold about 1500 songs
OR
about 1400 apps

I'm definitely not getting 1400 apps, I'll not likely get more than 10 (but with these things, it's more of downloading and installing on impulse so who knows tongue )

I'm just afraid that my Music library will get too much to handle with a 8GB but oh well, might as well upgrade the to the current version of iPod touch when that happens smile

I just got a 8gb touch
The OS actually takes up about 1.6gb
You get about 6.4gb

Pictures take up like NO space at all. I have about 400 and I still have room for about 10000000 pictures. (exaggerating on the 10000000 pictures, but I have a lot of room for pictures tongue

The iPhones are good I have like 30 apps and I have the iPhone 3g I have five or more books and about 40 songs. If you are looking for a bargain get and iPod touch they are quite cheap or the first iPhone. I don't have a iPad so I can't help, and when I did it was my dads.
