Hi everyone,
Scratch Day is a worldwide network of gatherings, where people come together to meet other Scratchers, share projects and experiences, and learn more about Scratch. We hope that you'll be able to attend an event near you (explore the map at http://day.scratch.mit.edu) -- or that you'll celebrate Scratch Day and Scratch's fifth birthday with others in the online community.
As a part of Scratch Day celebrations around the world, the current prototype of Scratch 2.0 will be publicly available from May 17 through May 21 -- and you can check out some of the new features in this preview video.
Just visit alpha.scratch.mit.edu between May 17 and May 21 to explore the current version of the prototype and give feedback about your experiences!
Happy Scratch Day!
Karen, on behalf of the MIT Scratch Team and Scratch Day Team

Will we be able to download the prototype (actual program)?
Or do you not want to distribute it yet?

I don't understand what you mean. 2 dollar budget photos?
btw, i just showed the preview to my parents, and my mom thinks that it looks like Facebook. lol.Yeah, it does look like Facebook. And yeah, what I said did look confusing. I meant a website that is on a 2 dollar budget where you post photos.
Either way, I don't like the Facebook look.I also thought it looked rather like FB. But i'm sure everyone will get used to it.
I just hope that when it looks like Facebook my mom's not gonna say "What are you doing???" and make me get off, because I'm not supposed to get a Facebook account

Lol, it doesn't look that much like FB. Only parts of it, like the blue bar at the top.

I challenge you to a user-script duel. Whoever makes a better user-script to change the design wins.

There is no Scratch 4.0. Scratch 1.4 has been out. 2.0 is the newest.
