Get Planning for 2.0

I want to post my project ideas for 2.0 using the new features, and I want you to too! You can post ideas using the make your own block feature, the new variable feature, or more! Try to think out side of the box and create new ideas for using the features, like: A saving variable can keep score, but it can also save a whole intire project if you wanted!
This is your time and your place to think!

Re: Get Planning for 2.0

The idea that intrigues me most, is a game with a level editor, where the levels can then be stored in the cloud for other people to play.

That sounds like a cool idea. I'm thinking of Chat.SB2, based on Magnie's Chat.PY.  tongue

Ill probably be doing a place where you can have your own account and post art, and then you can comment on others and look at others.

Re: Get Planning for 2.0

I am thinking about making a Massively Multiplayer Online game with bearscalled The Bears of Ora. You can have your own account along with an avatar, and you can equip weapons, clothes, And more. you can battle, fight for territory, make guilds. At the beginning you can choose from Grizzly Bear, Polar Bear, or Panda bear. There will also be four territories in which every one is allowed to go to; Ora City, Bambooland, Frozeton, and White stroke Forest. My favorite part is a feature in Frozeton. Every day, The ice in frozeton will shrink unless someone remixes my project about Global warming. You can only remix it and have it count once a week. For a sense of currency, I will make there be different money for each town, For Bear Central, there will be B-Cash which will be very hard to get, In Bambooland there will be bamboo shoots, In Frozeton there will be Ice Crystals, and in White Stroke Forest there will be Salmon Scales, or just scales. There will be things you can buy like house, clothes, armour, weapons, and more! I will also try to make a way of someone being able to make an account without having to change the project. And Ill probably be able to make it that only I can see the account log ins. I hope Scratch 2.0 comes out soon!  big_smile

Re: Get Planning for 2.0

I predict the Scratch 2.0 server will be maxed out in a short amount of time (although I hope it doesn't).

How long do cloud variables and lists remain?

The reason I will do this, is because the scratch community would love a warriors game, especially with that many warrior fans on these days. I am good at graphics, and programming. Ill make it awesome  cool

Re: Get Planning for 2.0

About the server being maxed out: I agree that it probably will be and crash.
But on a good note I think all of your ideas are great. It will take a lot of work and time to make MMORPG's and a lot of the games you guys are thinking of will be hard to make! I hope y'all are up for it!

I have a game that I am releasing 7hours after Scratch 2.0 PT is opened called "fill the cup" I have an example of it on my account you can check out.

I have some other ideas for hi-score lists and what not.

But one thing I am a little confused about is how the cloud variables get started but don't reset...? Then again these questions will probably be answered when it's released eh?
