Re: Celebrate Scratch Day! Try out the Scratch 2.0 prototype!

So psyched!  Will there be an improved way to embed projects on external sites?  In any case, this looks awesome!

Why is bitmap graphics good? I know its unique, but I don't really think it has any positives. :\

Re: Celebrate Scratch Day! Try out the Scratch 2.0 prototype!

It will be way easier to draw. Right now, I have to import graphics from other programs. I'm pretty sure I won't have to do that with Scratch 2.0.

Bitmap graphics are better for pixel artwork and photographs.

You can usually import bitmap into vector, although it pixelate when you resize the vector.

Re: Celebrate Scratch Day! Try out the Scratch 2.0 prototype!

They let you build custom blocks on BBCode, so that means it was built for Scratch 2.0!!
That  means you might have lots of

when gf clicked
blocks in 2.0. So lets see all the green flag blocks in all forms!!!
when gf clicked
when green flag clicked
when flag clicked

Hooray! All blocks in all forms! I'll start with go to x:() y:()

<Boolean or Predicate:>
<go to x:() y:()>
command:
go to x:() y:()
(Reporter or Variable:)
(go to x:() y:())
when gf clicked
say [Why not reporter!] for (120) secs //120 seconds is 2 minutes.
excuse the messiness.

btw, i just showed the preview to my parents, and my mom thinks that it looks like Facebook. lol.

Yeah, it does look like Facebook. And yeah, what I said did look confusing. I meant a website that is on a 2 dollar budget where you post photos.

Either way, I don't like the Facebook look.  tongue

Re: Celebrate Scratch Day! Try out the Scratch 2.0 prototype!

Hi there other Scratchers! This is very exiting for me, because I have been wanting a better version of Scratch to come out (not that this version is bad, it just takes a while to make something amazing and it can have a lot of lag, sometimes even on turbo speed). Even if I have only been on Scratch for about 5 months, I believe I have gotten pretty good at it, thanks to its simplicity and user-friendly format. Thanks, MIT, for making this great computer programming app for everyone.
