I love everything about the ways to make things easier and have better graphics, but I don't like the idea of the new website design. It kinda looks like one of those sites where you post a photo that is on a 2 dollar budget.
I don't understand what you mean. 2 dollar budget photos?
btw, i just showed the preview to my parents, and my mom thinks that it looks like Facebook. lol.

not completely. I was thinking that it would be in late 2012, that would've been much worse.

Woah, everything looks so cool! I love the new website design, the new features, everything. Btw, does anyone know when the real thing is coming out? Or is that still pretty far off?

EDIT2: Will we still be able to upload projects made in 1.4?

Hmm. I will definitely be there for the testing, but I just have one question:
Will I be able to upload a project directly to the online editor, without publishing it to anything? Because I would be QUITE interested in getting as much done in 2.0 for Chobo EXTREME as I can before my time is up. Also, will I be able to download the project, or will it save it there until 2.0 is done for good? Or, will I lose my progress that I make completely...?
Thanks!

SCRATCH 2.0 IS GOING TO BE AMAZING! The guys (and girls) over there at MIT are geniuses. The cloud variables are one of my favorite additions.

OMG!!!!!
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can just imagine the big rush a hubub on the Scratch website the day this launches.
I can't wait to check out the new changes they have made!
And just imagine all the possibilities with the new cloud technology and whatnot.
Oh, and I am also a little nervous because when it releases, everyone will want to put up projects from it about all these things and I want to get in on that as well!!!

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to upload 1.4 projects from your computer to Scratch 2.0. But I don't think you will be able download your Scratch 2.0 project to use in Scratch 1.4. I'm not sure if projects made on alpha.scratch.mit.edu will be saved or not.

.. Omigod. o_O! SCRATCH IS GOING TO BE SO DIFFERENT!
If us scratchers don't really feel comfortable with the new scratch, is there ever going to be a way for us to revert back to the old scratch?

Nope
It's possible that someone will make a site with ScratchR that has the same look n' feel of this one but it wouldn't be official.

It is thought the full version will be released late 2012. This is an alpha version. For all we know the full one maybe out by 2013.
