Will Scratch 2.0 need internet?

I use scratch mainly on my computer without internet, and then upload them by my memory stick. For some reason, using scratch anywhere else just doesn't give me that 'comfortable feel' so, yeah. Does it?

It says here there will be an offline version. But I don't know if that applies to the preview, or only the finished version.

Only the finished version will;; the Scratch Day preview will require you to be on the site.
