I take it it'll only work offline, but what about the block library? The block librarians are gonna have to learn Flash or something, and to make a Flash version for every single block would take ages. And will there be a tidier interface than the current one?

I'm pretty sure they will have to work with the source code in Flash, which is actionscript right?

I presume 2.0's ActionScript source code will be released. But yes, this means re-coding the block library.

Why would you mod Scratch 2.0? If they're taking so long with it, it's probably because they're putting in all of the features of the more popular mods like BYOB and Panther and whatever else, not to mention lots of new features.

Yeah, it'll apparently be released a while after 2.0 is.

Because whatever they do, it won't be perfect - there'll always be features missing or features that could be improved, because it's impossible to please everyone. Plus if nothing else it's a good way to get a basic understanding of how Scratch "works".

And, even if it is "perfect", it will be perfect for its target audience - brand new programmers. There will always be more advanced blocks to be made

Okay, I am confused here. I've heard that it's going to be in 2.0, but I Just heard that it won't be in 2.0. Is it gonna be in there or not??
No-one knows.
