I wish I could go to the MIT one, but I live in Nevada...
EDIT: Wait, is Scratch 2.0 only gonna be released to people at MIT?!
I would kill someone if it is.

Well it's possible that there's going to be an alpha like the prealpha from last year, but nobody knows.

The beta maybe, they wouldn't say "The only people who are ever gonna get 2.0 are those who attend Scratch Day in MIT". They better not anyway 'cause I ain't travelling to America to get one piece of software. I'd also hate to be near you if it was true.

I would go, but I live in the Seattle area, and the only event in Seattle is for deaf high school students.
Is it possible to me to coordinate an event next year for Scratch Day 2013 for Scratchers in the Seattle/Portland area?

I'm probably not going this year, but I really want to
I might've gone to the Bell one (California) but you have to bring your own laptop and I don't have one
You don't NEED to.

Not going to MIT this year, too far away/expensive plus I didn't get my room cleaned in time so my parents won't take me
If you're thinking "Oh $10 isn't expensive!" think about this:
MIT: $10
Hotel: About $150 per night (one or two) I love having a grandma that lives in MA!
Round-trip train ticket: $189Can't argue. But idk if the car is cheaper.
Total: $349 or $499
Don't even get me started on souvenirs
...But that's aside the point. I might go to Philadelphia one

I've gotta stay home ( ) cause I have a soccer game that day
and I may also be referee for two other games
Does any Scratch Team member know for sure if there will be a (leaked or unleaked) alpha this year?

Aww, Scratch Day is the 8th of December? I definitely can't go... But last year, I was in Boston on Scratch Day! After that day, my dad showed me MIT, which is where he went in College! It's really big. XD
There are other dates in other locations. I suspect you are talking about the NYC one?
Yeah. ;(

Scratch day is on May 19th.
Not in NYC. I can't go to the Boston one because I have a BIG TEST on May 21 on Ancient Greece, and I missed a lot of the lessons because of 5th grade Clarinet lessons! Boo. T_T Plus, It's 6 hours away from New Jersey! Except if I can convince my Social Studies teacher to let me take the test on that Friday.. Anyway, my dad says that I can go around my birthday (which is soon), and maybe I can convince HIM to go earlier so that I can attend Scratch Day.

I believe that the alpha will be made publicly available to everyone. No need for murder!

Anyone possibly going to either Sheffield or Harrogate? They're the only close ones to me
