I've seen it mentioned a couple of times and I'm wondering what it actually is? I'm guessing it's a newer version of scratch? Beyond that I have no clue. Sorry I'm new to scratch.

It's basically the next version of Scratch, and it'll have a lot of improvements. It'll have lots of new blocks, but the best improvement (in my opinion) is that it'll be online, so you'll be able to access your projects from anywhere. (There will be an offline version too though, by the way).

I tend to disagree. I think the best part about it is the cloud variables. If the cloud variables are instantaneous (as much as possible) and you can have unlimited, you could create MMOs with a lot of work (especially a lot of lists). You could also create a forum (I am planning to).

Yeah, that's cool too, it's just that I'll be able to work on my projects everywhere; currently, to work on something at school for example, I have to upload it to my test account, download it again when I'm at school, and then upload it again afterwards. Yeah, pretty inconvenient. And I don't really think making a forum would be possible (or allowed, for that matter); the variables would "expire" after a while, I'd've thought.

Why would they expire? I would have to go through a lot of testing, get some moderators, and do a lot of work, and then get it approved by the Scratch team... The project would take about 4 months of hard work, and another 4 months before the Scratch Team would allow it.

Well, the servers would run out of space pretty quickly if very single variable's value was kept forever.
And it's three months, not four. ;p

It was supposed to come out July 2010.
What, because there was rumours going around saying that? The Scratch Team never said that, therefore it wasn't supposed to come out July 2010.

It will be flash based.

Not the full version. Just a late alpha/early beta.
