Well, it is the first of december, and I saw a member of the scratch team make a post earlier on. Is Scratch v1.2 coming out?

Hi JSO,
Wow, thank you so much for offering to translate the entire interface to Dutch for the Scratch team. As it turns out, we already had someone else update the Dutch translation for release 1.2, so because the release is going out sometime today, that is the translation that will be offered for the download.
However, we planned to set up a section of the site where translators can start discussions about the different translations of the Scratch application.
In the meantime, perhaps you could start a new forum thread about the Scratch Dutch translation, and I will invite our other translator to look at your file.
If you come to a consensus about a new, better translation, then you could make a new file and we would update the nl.po file that comes with Scratch.
Also, our other translator did not do the MIDI instruments, either, so there's always that.
Let me know what you think or if you have other ideas about how to coordinate a discussion for a better Scratch Dutch translation.

Actually, there is an overlapping issue with the Dutch translation we received from the translator. Therefore, I will take your translations for 'Undo' and 'Redo' for this official release.

While I am glad that the team is not pushing out a version before it is ready to go, it would be nice to know what the status of the release is.
I am looking forward to those trig functions and the new comment block. I'm not holding my breath though; there's still a lot of things I want to try in 1.1 .

Release Status, December 2
We are very close to putting out the 1.2 release. We found one or two bugs at the last minute yesterday that held things up. (Believe me, we tried--several of us were up until 2 or 3 in the morning working on it.)
The release should be out by the end of today (December 2) if no more unexpected problems arise.
