okay. so, I like mesh multiplayer games, okay? but, for some reason, my computer (old, if that helps) won't connect to mesh. I try everything, but it just keeps on saying, "cannot connect to (the IP I tried)" . does anybody know how to help me?

Re: mesh hookup

do you have a mesh server?
And mesh only works via your local network
And can you describe the mesh setup?

Re: mesh hookup

Could you explain how you are connecting? What IP are you using to connect?

If you are hosting the server on the same computer as the client, use the IP "127.0.0.1".

Mesh works over the internet as well, you just need to port-forward.

Yeah... it does.

Mesh Wiki

If you want to be able to let others join a Mesh hosted by you without using a program or configuring anything on their end, forward port 42001 on your router. For more information, see the Wikipedia page on port-forwarding or search for "port-forwarding" on the Internet.

Ehh.. for the IP you could use "localhost" in the IP area aswell.
EDIT: Also, You don't have to port-forward, If your internet connection is direct to your computer, you can use your external IP Address. You can find this on: www.whatismyip.com. But, if you're connected through a Router, you need to find the router's external IP address.

The router's IP address is the same one as what that URL will give you, since whenever you browse the internet you use the network's IP, not your local one  smile

When using the external IP address, however, your router must be configured to forward all connections on port 42001 to your specific computer. Otherwise the requests will be lost when they get to the router!
