Help! My notes are muted!!

I'm making a game of simon, and it's working great. One problem. I need the note feature, to use as the tones in the game. But the thing is, when I tell scratch to play any note or drum, it just stays silent. I can't make a working simon game without the tones. Is there anything I can do???

Re: Help! My notes are muted!!

Use the "set volume" block to set the volume to 100 (or another number). If that doesn't work, check it's not your computer that's muted. If that doesn't work, your speakers are broken.

It is also possible that whatever MIDI synthesiser Squeak uses/makes use of, is broken. Do other sounds work on your computer?

yes, any other sound works. It's a problem with the coding itself that wont let it play the note/drum. The funny thing is, if i add notes to a game, it still works online.
