Update! The play went well. I felt a bit brainwashed right before it, but during, I was just fine! Thank you so much! One thing, though. A fan was supposed to take back their autograph book before leaving the stage, but she didn't, so i whispered (with my mic on) 'just grab it'. other than that, it was fine! I stayed in character the whole time, and everyone said I sang my harmony part beautifully. I appreciate your help!

Since you're actively involved in the play, i think it can stay here.
Good luck! One way i've found to reduce stage fright is to pretend it's just another rehearsal.

You should probably see a doctor about those to try and get them out.

I know what you are talking about. When I started acting, I was always very nervous... But with every time I was on stage, I got less nervous and now, I love the feling of having butterflies in my stomach. Just accept it and look forward to it. I'm sure, it'll be great!

Yes, that'd probably be the best option. Those butterflies can be dangerous you know.

You see, I'm in this play called "Two Tickets to Hollywood" and I'm one of the 2 main characters. The play is a week from now, and I'm as nervous as nervous gets! How do YOU get rid of stage fright?
Please help! I have at least 600,000,000 butterflies in my stomach right now!!! Help!!!
We're in the smae boat pal. I'm in a play too and I have to do a French accent. It starts in 2 weeks and I haven't got the hang of it. I don't have stage fright, but I'm nervous whether I can do my accent or not.

I was in a play once, main character. You shouldn't be nervous. Being nervous causes you to make mistakes. Calm down. If you forget a line, make up another line. Makes the play all the more better. If you forget what to do, improvise. It will give the other actors something different to think about. Being in plays is supposed to be fun, so make it fun.

Same thing happened to me but instead of being nervous, I was embarrassed. Good luck. Being a lead is SO annoying to me. I hated it. I wish I could help.
