why do I have to register if I already have an account?

It is AuthMe. IDK if it is offline mode, but if it is, AuthMe means that since you still have to authenticate as yourself, some random person can't set their offline username to, say, Qazedt and get admin powers because they don't know his password.

1 diamond is sold for 32 gold
16 iron ingots/ore is sold for 32 gold.
4 gold ingots/ore is sold for 32 gold.
16 coal is sold for 4 gold.

We will also hopefully begin creating a few dungeons/quests for the players to complete for money.

That would be fun. Mob Arenas are pretty fun too.

On Sunday, May 6th @ 1:00 EST, there will be a sponge-finding PvP tourney! The object of the game will be to collect all 18 sponges and eliminate rivals! There will be 6 competitors*, who will pay $10 to enter, and spectators who will pay $2 to watch!
Prizes:
1st place: $30 gold
2nd place: $15 gold
3rd place: $5 gold

*Please note, if you are cannot make the date and you are set to compete, we cannot change dates. Also, all items bought are non- refundable. Furthermore, if there are open slots at the set date, it will be first come first serve.

Everyone will have lost so much work.. T_T It would be devastating to have the house that I built with 51037 lost - it was the first decent house I ever made, and I have so much fun on Phoenix - I'm sure the others do too.
