hello there! im in the process of making an OS named Pearl, its in the deep beta and im gonna show some screenshots...
it will also feature THEME CHANGING! WOOT! heres a screenshot
see i made it have a Mac OSX theme for those mac fan boys.
and it will feature, you wont believe dis but...DISCS! not really discs, but projects that you import into pearl for programs :] so! give me suggestions!

no, if you goto file, then you press import project NOT OPEN, then you select the project u wanna import, then all of the sprites come into the OS.

No. You can't make any sort of real-life operating system with a Scratch or a mod, because Scratch needs a Squeak, Flash, or Java driver for its projects to be run by, and obviously a Scratch OS cannot run the driver which runs it.

You can have the most customisable desktop environment and make it run Squeak on startup and load the Scratch image with the project.
