Do we need a singer? I imagine it wouldn't sound good into a microphone.
uh ;_;
you know all music is recorded into microphones
Well, I've heard that instruments don't sound nearly as bad as voice in a mic.

there are methods of compressing. for example, i run the noise through my ipod compressor before placing it inside of a shoebox with my mic in it, and finally i compress to the highest quality on scratch and export the sound.

Ok - Once you have a tune or something, I can create the lyrics for you, or should I do it the other way around?

I could play bass for you guys, depending on the genre. I second starting with a cover of a song. my personal favorite bands are R.E.M., Pink Floyd, Queen, etc.
Ya, that'd be great! BTW, Those are some of my favorite bands too. I like some of the older bands more than modern.

tbh, I don't like the idea of one guitarist plays electric and one plays acoustic. I think we should both play whatever one we need. Say we need two electrics for a song, one in overdrive effect and one with tremolo. Then we could do that. Also, I could help pi3, because I think he said he's just beginning. I've been playing for a little less than a year, and I've already learned a lot. And a three guitar front is amazing, look at Radiohead for example ^^

Ok - If we are going to get started, I reccomend we -
1) Work out which genre and type of music we are going to base around and create
2) Actually create some notes, so lead gutarist or musician could try out some new stuff, using noteflight or some kind of note-programme.
3) Once everyone knows what they are doing, start mixing and practicing. (We also need a mixer)
4) I'll write the lyrics to the song, and the person doing the vocals can practice singing it, and we'll mix that together too.

Okay, excellent. I've been playing guitar for about a month, but I have a good musical background (I am a master at String Bass).
@Atmospheric: I have a nice chord progression that I like playing that we could use in a song: E, C, G, D, E, C, G, D, etc.

Okay - That's cool. You could try uploading them on noteflight. Link: http://www.noteflight.com/login
Guys, I don't want this scratch band to fail, like other bands. No band has actually created a proper song or album apart from Frozen Coco.

Is there a way to do the slash marks for chords on that site? Sorry, I'm just lazy.

Hmm... I'm not so sure, maybe you could just put the notes on them, and give me the link so I can see what I'm working with
