Maths SATS

Hi Everyone.
Well, my SATS are coming up,  sad  The SATS in the UK is far different in the USA, by the way. I can do English easily, it's just my mathematics... Every since I was little I never could grasp maths that well, but at one point I was actually really good, but I kind of slipped because I never practised it much. So, I'm making a revision guide... Has anyone got any tips for SATS (In UK) If you have been through it?

Re: Maths SATS

I don't have tips for the SAT, but I have one for the ACT. :3 But I'm sure they're a little similar. If you don't know the answer, guess B or C. Those are the most likely answers.

Yeah, SATS in the UK is annoying! What's your grade?

Maths: 6C (Borderline between 5C and 6C)
English: 6C
Science: 5C (Not really had any science in our school. We do it after the english and maths tests so we concentrate on it)

One tip is actually don't revise that much.

I used to revise hard, but the thing is, I never learned ANYTHING.

Then, we did past SATS papers. After my first one, my mark went up!

Past SATS papers I found from google in a 2 min search.

But seriously, do more SATS papers than revision.

I didn't, our school boycotted them. >:D

It was the year around half the schools did, in a protest against the government or something. We still did a practice one though, it just didn't count for anything.

Tips... Let me think... Well, don't be nervous for starters. They're actually like, twice as easy as you expect them to be, but if you go in nervous you're obviously gonna find it harder.

That's all I've got. :x

Re: Maths SATS

I'm Canadian, I don't think we get these unless it's the equivalent of CCAT or EQAO or something

Well I know that the education system is different in the USA & Canada. SATS is an national exam you take in the end of elementary, if that makes sense.

Re: Maths SATS

Hmm, I don't think SATs are something that fit under the description of this forum (or any other forums). I would recommend you make a project about it instead.  smile  I'm closing this thread.
