Re: Beta Flash player

In my 3d demo, flash shrank the room sprite, so now it's a huge man walking in a tiny room. When i uploaded it, it was it's normal size. Now, it's tiny.

Re: Beta Flash player

the new flash player is awesome! with the old player my games kept freezing, but now they only do that when the internet crashes, which is how it should be. :3  smile

Re: Beta Flash player

It works really well! :D
A lot less lag for starters,
And with turbo mode lots of normally slow projects can be basically 'fixed'.
Keep up the good work :D

the flash player calculates all at once instead on lagging on one block

It doesn't execute all the blocks at once (that'd lead to lots of glitches regarding booleans, especially ones involving variables), it just executes them much faster.

Re: Beta Flash player

Sometimes when i use the flash player variables that have been put in a specified place and in a specified format(e.g. slider, large readout) it reverts to the default 'normal' view and goes to the top left of the game screen. apart from that i find the flash based player very good and actually faster than the java player for me.

Re: Beta Flash player

It's great. It makes my pre-release games run smoother. My little character can walk around without stuttering now. ^.^

Thanks to all the team working on the new Flash-based player!

Re: Beta Flash player

There is a glitch with draggable sprites. If you drag it to the bar where it has the green flag and the stop sign, the sprite disappears and you can't get it back.

I'm not able to test it at the moment, but you should probably make a whole new thread about that, since it's quite major (compared to other glitches).

Re: Beta Flash player

Kill the cat (see my projects) keeps glitching with click-and-drags too. The only click and drag thing that works is the firework. The others either won't respond, or they flicker all over the place.

Re: Beta Flash player

Really good, especially useful for more computationally intensive projects like simulations. Having said that, turbo mode is probably my favourite feature. I also like how lines are drawn with anti-aliasing, it makes it look a lot better than before!
