Yes, simply copy the text you want (Control-C) and then paste it (Control-V) into the project notes.

In that case, do what Steve said to do.
And no, but it will (very annoyingly) remove all line breaks, so you'll be left with one long paragraph instead of several smaller ones. You can get around this by just editing them but not actually changing anything though.
