My forums, here, are currently hosted with PunBB-Hosting, which is more for beginners setting up their first forums - you can't have custom plugins or anything, and it's really not very good. I really want to move to a different host so I can install plugins and basically do more stuff. I have no clue whatsoever what to do though. Is anyone up to the task of transferring the database to a new host, installing some plugins and basically just doing the coding side of administrating? If you think you'd be able to, just post here saying so. I'll only choose one person though, so I recommend doing all you can to persuade me.
EDIT; I'd personally say this belongs more in Requests, but I guess if the Mods think it goes here it goes here.

What version of Fluxbb are you transferring to?

I'll let whoever volunteers decide that - they'd know which is the best version to switch to better than me.

Just a little note- I would prefer it to not to be .tk because most of the time I am on these forums is at school, and .tk is blocked there

Unfortunately .tk is the only free one (that I know of), and I'm not willing to pay I'm afraid.

Hehe, dot.tk isn't the only free domain service, try Co.cc.

Dot.tk isn't a hosting site. It's only a mirror of the hosted page you point it to.

I could set it up.
But I'm kinda busy....could you get a domain from 000webhost on your own? Then I can add the forums and such.
Offline
Yeah, use 000webhost and install FluxBB on your own. Just download the ZIP, unpack, upload via FTP, and run install.php.

You can get domains from 000webhost??
I guess I'll try... I'm not too hopeful though, so I'll make a test forum first and try and transfer that.
@Sci; What's FTP? Also, wouldn't that basically be starting over? I wanna keep the existing posts.

Ftp is short for "File Transfer Protocol". It basically is a way of transferring files from a site directory and onto a site directory.
In short; how you upload files

I don't know if you can keep the posts.

If you can get at the database for your forum, export it, then import. If not... sorry.

I know how to do it, I'd be willing to help out

The cat's still in there, it just doesn't show up because of the 150px height limit

Thanks. bwog's actually volunteered on my forums, but you're welcome to help out if he can't do it for whatever reason.

That's what I did for my site. It's down now, but I used 000webhost and co.cc
It's really easy, and free. Just get something like FileZilla for uploading.
