Wasd Vs. Arrow Keys

So I dunno if this goes here but yeah.
So which one do you prefer?
Personally, I prefer wasd.  I am a fan of shooter games and archery games that require moving around and aiming.  I use WASD so my hands are in a comfortable, natural position, but some of these noob guys at my school and stuff use the arrow keys.  They have to move their hands all over the place.  They can't move and aim at the same time cause the mouse and the arrow keys are too close together-  they have to move a little, then aim, move, aim etc.  and it's almost painful to watch.
But
I want more opinions

I only prefer WASD when I have to constantly use the mouse.

I think this goes in RaP because you're asking about preference of video game controls.

If you're using the mouse: wsad

If you're using other keys: arrow keys

If you're using both:  try to keep all additional keys around the wsad keys, and use wsad

To me, it is basically about using both hands and keeping them a comfortable distance away from each other.

WASD and a gaming mouse with numpad on it  smile

Shooters became 1000% easier when you aim and fire while dodging the other noob.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.

Yeah, I used to prefer the arrow keys, but generally wasd is what I use now, especially if I'm using the mouse too such as in Minecraft. I have to make a 3D level with controllable character the other day for my university course and the lecturer wouldn't let us use wasd! Part of the spec was to use the arrows. Then again, there wasn't a mouse-controlled camera or anything, so it wasn't too bad  tongue

Arrow keys. The way my laptop is set up, I have my tracpad in the center, and the arrow keys are on the left:

I like the arrow keys usually, though sometimes wsad seems easier.

WASD, because, like you, I am a fan of shooter games, and I am right handed, so I can use the mouse with my right hand that way.  It works that same way with pretty much every game, actually.  Also, the arrow keys are further away from any other keys for keystrokes.
