Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Hey guys! Just wanted to say that, techno, that sad song is amazing, and I have been having a go at singing it and LOVE IT! Can only sing verses because that's all that's on Noteflight as far as I know, but still sounds great!  smile

Also, when did you say the release date for Crimson Love was guys?

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

I'm planning to release it next week. By the way, I personally think techno's song would suit a bass voice, so if needed you can sing harmonies.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Yes, the lyrics may need some change. I particularly would like a little more rhyme, and as you pointed out, a constant rhythm (though in my mind at least it doesn't sound too bad). I wrote the lyrics on our corkboard if anybody here wants to edit them.

I don't think my song should be sang by a bass, I actually always had LolaRose's voice in mind while writing it.

I'm sure hpotte134 won't mind if one song is more electric guitar than acoustic. And lead acoustic parts are always pretty interesting, in Lazy Sunday Jam he did some pretty good improvising.  smile  By the way, the score for that song in particular is set as private in Noteflight, and I'm really curious about it. ;P

Which particular song? Yeah, and I agree, his acoustic improvisation is great which is why I will play electric for my song while he plays acoustic lead. That'll be amazing, I'm sure!  big_smile

If you think LolaRose's voice is good for it, OK, but the lyrics and the overall mood would be nice with a low tone which would add to the melancholy feel. Just stating my opinion.  wink

YAYZ!!!  smile  I would love to do it! But if not, hey, I don't mid at all! It's your choice, of course! You're the boss, so I'll do whatever you want!

I'd be happy enough just to do harmony instead, if that's what you want, as it's no bother!  big_smile

Having a tolerant person like you makes me being 'boss' easier.  big_smile

Glad to hear you will perfectly accept whatever decision we decide to go by eventually.  smile

I still think LolaRose's voice would fit the song better  tongue  I'll follow some people on FC's Soundcloud and then I'll continue with the song. Which by the way, I'll most likely title "Out of the Possible".  smile

EDIT: Well, I'm probably following thousands of people by now thanks to a little script I found. Which made me thought, we seriously need a new logo since the one with the penguin is very amateurish, even a little childish.  tongue

Exactly why I told DIY about it being private  tongue

EDIT: Followed exactly 1994 people on SoundCloud lol. We already got 10 more followers in some few minutes ;D I also decided to delete the two 30 sec. samples we had of MVTY and WIBY, they cluttered our tracks list a bit.

I always thought the logo was pretty cool! I can help with making a new one though, just if you want like.  smile  I do have a random logo-ish type thing as the pics for my recordings on soundcloud, that I made the day I made that cover art.  big_smile  You can use it if you want.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

I'm starting to think LolaRose's voice might fit Gone better. I'm a pretty bad singer, turns out. D:

I can't really improve the quality more than the two quick takes I already sent DIY, so I think he'll have to either use those (they might not sound that bad with some subtle autotune plus the whole mix), or have LolaRose record the vocals quickly. The first is probably more practical.

Well, if you think her voice suits it better, that's alright. It's part of management, right? We can arrive at a common agreement once we start proceedings on your song and mine.

Glad to hear about the script!  big_smile

I kinda agree with you about the logo. I was thinking of something simple and more professional, but I am a good 3D/2D artist, so I'll try to think up a logo for us.

Oh wow. OK, yeah your voice may suit it with a little autotune. It's too much to ask LolaRose1892 to start recording though since in that case I will probably end up pointing out weak points in the vocals, leading to more recordings and a delay in album release.

... Plus, I've always thought it suits a guy more than a girl.  hmm

I'll have a shot at singing it too (I do sing), and if it turns out good, I'll use that, or I can experiment with slight autotune on your vocals.

113 people are following us on SoundCloud right now. And I got an e-mail per every single person that followed us. >.> Should we release the EP right now we'd get quite a bit of an audience, though  big_smile  People seem to like WIBY more than MVTY.

As for the logo, I think something more or less simple, like our band's name written in a handwritten font, would be good enough for our SoundCloud profile pic. (I made exactly that in Paint.NET, it's now our profile picture in SoundCloud.)

Good, I'll check the logo out and try to make some changes. All songs are done and ready for release this Saturday. I think it is a strategic day for release since there is the weekend. I'm trying to arrange for the project to get featured and am organising all the publicity, etc.

Are you in a band or a solo artist? What style? Any examples of your work you'd like to show us? Sounds like a good idea to me too.

Awesome.  big_smile  What will the Scratch project you upload on the day of the release have? I say it should have one song from it (Reload or Gone) plus a link to the EP in the Project Notes.

Compressing all songs would give a worse overall quality, but we could then link the SoundCloud and BandCamp tracks in the project notes. I have already started working on the project and it is turning out quite well with an interactive taskbar as well. Start on any other publicity you can get.
