Including a video into a Scratch Game

My pupils need to include a video into their multi-media product and I would like to know how this is possible and how to achieve it in Scratch.

Hey, moyra!

Unfortunetly, Scratch doesn't support any video file type. The only way to include a video would be to save frames of it and put them together as costumes in Scratch.

Yep. This is fairly easy to do though, if you follow these instructions.

This is not possible, but it was going to be in scratch, I think 1.2, but they removed it and it became an obselete block (I think). Well, I know it's just a removed block.

Re: Including a video into a Scratch Game

Thank you all for the quick response.  I will have to think of another way to include a video clip into their projects.  Perhaps start off with a PowerPoint presentation and then insert a link to a video and to Scratch.  Will have a play around.  I may be back for more help!
