Sounds easy, right?
Here come the Barbarians. Barbarians (mean players) take territory and kidnap other players (can't get out of being kidnapped until another player rescues you). Non-Barbarians can take other's territory, but if they kidnap they turn into Barbarians.
Dead people can't be ressuructed until the others save him/her, and only after 5 turns.
And you can't kidnap them. That would be gross.
You can't make imaginary people.
I'm the rule-master. If you do something against the rules, you lose everything. If you do vengeance against me for that, your post will be ignored.
And you can team-up.
And buy other lands for sale. You get money from land. And from gifts and ransoms. And from theft. And you can make stores, etc., and rip people off.
