I was playing hardcore, and I was deflecting ghast fireballs. My brother asked me a question, so I was a little distracted. I accidentally hit a zombie pigman and was killed by a pack before I could draw my sword.

I wanna know some things though - is it easy to get the hang of if you're an absolute beginner? How easy is it to play online? Once you buy it, is it free from thereon, or is there some other costs (for playing online, for example)?

It's not a game which is hard, it's nice and relaxing and simple, but also has some optional confusing stuff for more experienced players. And it's completely free after you buy it.

Each server has an ip. That's a long series of numbers and letters which you copy and paste from the server topic or whatever into a server box. Then you click connect and you're on. Not all are random numbers though, for example Phoenix (a scratch server)'s ip is phoenix.akliz.net.
