This looks like a good way to prevent more attacks. Nice job, Scratch Team!

Yay! Tinypic pictures are enabled! Now I can make some sort of signature shop!

It's going to take a while for this to get used to being able to posting images.

We’ve reactivated image embedding on the Scratch Forums, and made some changes to the way new images are posted. To embed an image in your post on the Scratch forums, you need to upload your image to one of these image hosts:
tinypic.com
imgur.com
imageshack.us
photobucket.com
Once you’ve uploaded your image, get the url from the image hosting service, and paste it into your post. Then type the bbcode [img] tag at the beginning, and a [/img] tag at the end of the image’s link. Here’s an example:

Questions? Feel free to ask on this thread.
Scratch On!
p.s. You can also embed images that are hosted on these Scratch Servers:
modshare
scratchr.org
scratch.mit.edu

There's a lot of things on dA that aren't appropriate for the Scratch community.

I agree, even though it is an excellent resource for liscence-free images and a site I know that many Scratchers use, it's image policy doesn't match that of Scratches. If you like images from there and want to post them here, you can always still copy them and upload them to one of the whitelisted hosts!

I noticed when I saw images on a school computer!

The only mistake is "Scratches" instead of "Scratch's". What are you talking about?

would you mind allowing http://borregoworld.yolasite.com/admin-area.php to add images? I've tried photobucket and imageshack but both did not work for me, plus with it being a password-protected webpage, only I could add images from it anyway, and the site is now where near famous enough to have spammers break into it. i only used for site for uploading images onto other forums i go to, sadly i can't use it for these forums now.

He was probably just typing fast. I tend to mix up the letters of a word if I type fast.

Wait… I found a related bug.
Images on non-whitelisted sites posted before the whitelisting rules still show, you just can't post new ones.
Example
That's not a bug, that's intentional.

Could you please add Dropbox as a whitelisted source?
There's no sort of monitoring for that so it doesn't really make sense though.
The ST only added hosts that have a way to flag images.

Wow. So looks like I have to apologise there, that was shoddy grammar all round! I can't help but think this discussion should be moved to the more relevant Pick Apart Sparks' Grammar With Fanatical Precision thread though!
In an attempt to stay on topic, I will mention that it isn't too hard to get hold of an account for one of the white-listed hosts, though I will certainly miss being able to host images I display here on Dropbox or my own site!

Yeah, I use Dropbox too. I wonder if the ST will ever implement a feature where you can get your own Dropbox whitelisted. And with Tinypic, you dont need an account.

The Dropbox thing would take forever for them to do though.

Yeah. They would need to know every Dropbox user on the scratch fora with a rank of Scratcher or higher who wishes to post images on that are on their Dropbox and whitelist.
