Maps.

I was wondering  if it was possible to make maps on Scratch, because when I try to go  past the edge, the sprite disappears. For example:

The cat couldn't get to the other side to get it's cat food. Is there a way to make the map move so the cat can get it cat food?

Re: Maps.

Do you mean scrolling? Scrolling is where it has the effect that the sprite is moving, when it's actually the background moving in the opposite direction.

Re: Maps.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Is it possible to make a scrolling effect on Scratch? If so, how?

Re: Maps.

I have a scrolling engine that allows you to multi directional scroll with a very simple script. The map is quite limited in size and you can't put any extra sprites on it, but it works pretty well if you only have 1 thing you want to move.

Tutorial here  smile

Re: Maps.

Thanks you guys. And if anyone else can tell me in a simple, but detailed explanation on how to scroll, it would be really helpful  smile
