Alright, I've been working on this recently, but it still isn't finished, so I'd like some new members to join the dev team.

Mod Play is similar to Mod Share in that it will be a website for sharing projects from mods.

A Few Differences, though
• Code behind website (I think I'll call it PlayR) will be open-source (not including database passwords and the such) with an easy install script (unlike ScratchR)

• Custom Java players for each mod

• Easier Integration of automatic uploading via mods (HTTP POST to a certain website page)

• API for determining rank and password confirmation of each user

• MyBB rather than FluxBB/PunBB, which means custom BBCode and other stuff

• Possible a wiki.

• larger upload sizes

• HTML5/CSS3 (for main site; forums use XHTML)

Now for positions needed:
1-2 Mod Play team member (Admins), will help with site coding
1-2 Moderators
1-2 Junior Moderators
1-6 Java Player programmers
1-Infinity users tongue

Mods currently slated to be added (with player progress in parentheses)

Panther (initial player development halted)
Bingo (denied by owner, see here)
JTiger (player will be built in)
BYOB (planning)
Kitcat (planning)
Ghost (planning)
Insanity (planning)
Blizzard (planning)
NetScratch (planning)

To be an admin/mod/jun. mod, you must be a scratcher, no questions asked
Most likely mods/junior mods will be elected, while admins are appointed

The code for Mod Share is not adaptable unfortunately.

You can also add custom BBCode to FluxBB, it just involves editing the files (look at what I put on Mod Share).

it's just easier with MyBB

On Mod Share, we don't want users knowing how the site is structured, and the code is very specific to the server.

And, when I tried adding my own header to MyBB, it took me all morning just to fail. In FluxBB, it took me 10 minutes and it worked fine.\

I could be an Admin. I am an expert at web site background scripts (php, to be exact), and I could put challenges for this on the Macrobit Developer Program. And i know how to make a php file upload directly to the server (I'm only successful with GET requests so far, I don't know how to make a POST request in Squeak). Its really simple.

One of the reasons it doesn't exist for Mod Share is that "Mod ShareR" would be a bad name.

i used the generate password thing. probabaly shouldn't have.
