Scratch Character War
I' m making a game where characters that belong to different Scratchers battle to the death.It works like this:you pick your favorite character from all of YOUR projects and I include your character in the game.It doesn't matter how powerful the character is as some of them you will need to unlock.
There will be:
Adventure mode:With a story, you play with 1 character and unlock characters as you progress.
Battle mode:Fight P1 vs P2 or P1 vs CPU with the characters you unlocked.
Training mode:Train with a dummy
Challenge mode:unlock SPECIAL characters
Survival mode:survive as long as you can
I will also include a stage for every character.

Hey, this is The Jazzyman! Have you seen my Scratch seiries Hardcore Video Game Reviews Scratch Edition (Link: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/157080)? I think that the main charecter (me) could make an adition to your game. My attacks should be video game related (Most preferably retro games). If you exept it then I'll create the correct sprites for what you need.(you'll need to tell me what you need)

Ok.I will need moving animation and about 2 ranged and melee attacks for both sides(when the character is turned left and right but I can just add that my self if you want).I also need a stage of your character for the game(background).And MAYBE some sounds when the character is fighting(optional).Thanks for entering!No one else seems to want to enter.

Awusaum!(bad speller) I will create a Scratch project with all of my sprites in it that you can get the sprites off of, cause' I don't know how else I could get them to you. Thanks for exeptimg my offor!(still bad speller)

Actualy, what type of fighting game is this? Super Smash Bros style or Street Fighter/Tekken style? Plus, don't make it too violent or the project would not get front paged.

Well the characters are going to be much smaller than the screen(so not like tekken).There will be jump pads,lava pools and things that give you a weapon or more damage or health will appear.I've never played super smashed bros but I'm guessing it's similar to what this will be.How's it going with the sprites?

I've started on the sprites the other day. I've finnished the walking sprites and on to the attacks. I also figured that we would need a jump sprites.

Ok! Now so far I've done me walking, a flaming punch and my firin' my lazar! If you have any attack requests(you don't have to) just tell me, but before I'm done!

Wait a sec, I am just wondering how you are programing it. Are you making collision detection from running into color? Cos' if so then I may need to change some colours of the floors on my level.
Also, if you want to make this popular, we need to make a different forum post, because to get people interested in this you need a name that grabs attention and perhaps list some key gameplay elements in that post. If you do make another, please inform me.

About the collision I'm thinking of making a sprite to be the floor that will change it's looks depending on the background so it's gonna be if touching floor, so make the background however you want.About making it popular...I don't know...I guess I can make an engine and open another collab topic with the link to it?Do you have a good name idea?

Ummm... perhaps have a title like: "Have your Scratch charecter in our Scratch Crossover." I will tell you when I finnish my sprites, I'm almost done, in fact I am done, I just need to make my level.

Tell me when the topic will be released and the name. Also, I will problably have the sprites uploaded as a Scatch project by tomorrow. Just keep clicking on my name every now and then to see. PS: It will problably be called: Jazzyman Sprites

Cool! I don't have enough time to check out your enjine yet, but I will in the afternoon. Also in the afternon I will post the sprites as a Scratch project called "Jazzyman Sprites" click on my name when I do to check it out. Also be aware of time zones, where I live the time would be different than it would be were you live. Please inform me in this forum after school when you complete posting the topic.
