I just realized after posting my first project yesterday, that you can love your own project. I am wondering why? It seems weird to me.
I also want to know if it is normal to love your own project? I didn't because it seemed like cheating. It also made me think of something else..
Does that also mean that some people make a ton of different accounts just so they can love their own project and get front-paged?
Sorry I'm new and I couldn't find this anywhere!

I'll admit I occasionally give a love-it to myself... I guess it's not really a big deal doing it though, since if your projects get loads of love-its anyway, one more won't make a difference, and if they don't get loads of love-its, it's not like it's gonna affect anyone, right?

Yes, they could create multiple accounts to gain more love-its, but they'll be banned if they're caught. They'd also have to be pretty sad to waste lots of their time creating numerous accounts to gain measly love-its on a kids' website.

I don't love my own projects, at first because it seemed like "cheating" but now because the "luster" of fame fades after you've been Scratching for a while (it either seems unachievable or unimportant).
Edit: not to get off topic or anything but: RedRocker, you've only been registered since 2011?! It seems like way longer than that!

Heehee. Well I guess getting almost 9000 posts in six months is bound to make you seem like you've been on for longer than you have. B)

50 posts a day ( ) is too much, go play video games or something

Okay thanks! And yeah I don't really care if people love my stuff.

Well, some might use it to cheat and get another love it, but it's there for if you love the project, whether it's yours or not.
I don't always love my projects, but I do when I do truly love it.

If it's one of my good projects and I don't feel like it's getting enough, I'll give it a boost by 1.
There's nothing wrong with it.

I know, I didn't mean to imply "you". Perhaps the third person would have been more suitable xD

Hahaha that's my new philosophy!

I occasionally do it, but I think it isn't right. I do it just for fun.
