Sizing glitch

I recently changed my account pic to a 180 by 180 animated GIF, and when I went to the URL for the 30 by 30(?) GIF, it showed up as the full image!

Re: Sizing glitch

90 * 90  smile

And no, that's not a glitch, the Scratch website just automatically scales images when you view it, but the image file is still in original size. For example, my avatar is 100 * 100, but when you view it on the website, you'll see it scaled to 90 * 90; but if you download the original image or use the URL to post it somewhere, you'll get the 100 * 100 one.

You'll need to resize the GIF yourself in an editor (such as GMIP, for example), and upload that image elsewhere if you need to use it in your sig.

Re: Sizing glitch

Alright. I also found another bug - I rescaled the pic to 90 x 90 and went to http://scratch.mit.edu/static/icons/buddy/36977_sm.png, but it brought up a large image instead of a small one!

Actually, that "big" image is the actual size of a 90 * 90 image.

It sounds like you're trying to make a much smaller image (one that is probably 30 * 30). If you intend to have an image to be 30 * 30 for a forum sig, then you'll have to rescale the image to 30 * 30 in an image editor and then upload it to an offsite image hosting center like PhotoBucket.
