Re: Phoenix [MC Server]

Likely mods from what I've seen are Nex, Haim and Schnikes. But the final decision is still Qaz's.

Imo when picking mods, make sure that they are not mods on another server, if they are, they probably won't be as devoted  wink

I was going to be Admin on another server, but I don't think it's gonna work out.  wink

So I believe I'm free.

But I could be a good moderator.
I was an admin on Scratchia, and though it wasn't popular at the time, it once was so it's potential to be so again must have meant I deserved some large amount of trust.
And if I hadn't helped with the Hunger Games (or even come up with the idea for them) we would probably not be having them.

I am a admin on both Total Concat and iham's server, but am on Phoenix way more than those two combined.

That is only because both are kinda inactive right now, though. If both were to get popular again, I probably wouldn't be on Phoenix quite as much, but still a good bit of the time.  tongue

Yea, that was me. It's the very best way to mine for diamond  smile

They're the best and most efficient way to find ores  wink

Make sure tho, that you have water at your /home point, so that you can type /home really quickly if you meet lava  tongue

Digging holes straight down? Haha, they're one of the least efficient diamond mining strategies. The problem with them is you spend most of the time digging blocks which are too high above bedrock to even have diamonds, so it's pointless.

I think I know the best way. Go down to level 12 or 13, then make a 2x1 tunnel along for as long as you want. Then every 4 blocks (3 block gap between each) turn to the side and make a 1x1 tunnel as long as you can reach. Do this on both sides of the mine. If it was possible, the most efficient way would be to dig a really long 1x1 tunnel, but sadly the player is 2 blocks high so that wouldn't work.

Re: Phoenix [MC Server]

I've been thinking. Spawn city is kind of a mess. It sort of developed as it went along. For example, the marketplace. Originally it was just a couple of chest-shops, then more and more people added to them. It's okay like that, but the area's pretty cramped and unorganised. I reckon we should make a new city, set spawn there and have a warp to the current one.

It would be more organised. I had an idea of 3 Districts. Spawn would be at the centre of them. They'd be arranged in a square, 2 of the Districts would take up 1/4 of the square, the 3rd would take up half.

One District would be shops. There would be about 10-15 plots of land around the edge of this District. Each could have a shop or hotel or restaurant or whatever. In the centre of the District would be a large open market where you could add chestshops. The market wouldn't need to be all organised and in rows or anything, just fairly neat and not cramped at all.

The second District would be farms. There would be a really large grassy area surrounded by fences. You could then go with your own fences and cut off an area of it and use that as your farm. There'd have to be some way to get to your farms without walking through other people's though. This would not include tree farms, hopefully, I don't want lots of floating treetops ruining the place.

The third District would be the largest. The housing. Houses going over roads and stuff would not be allowed. We would make a few main roads with area to build houses at the side.

So, should we do this, do you think? I think it would be really good. Since spawn would be there it would make it really popular since when new people join they will see the new spawn city and want to build there. Also, we wouldn't flatten the land much (unless there was a random bump or something which was annoying). We'd do it somewhere flat already.
