Whats better? SNES or Sega Genisis, (or Mega Drive as it's known in europe). I'm really a SNES kinda guy, but theres also loads of people who love the Mega Drives selection of sci fi spacship shooters.
Vote!
SNES: Stor
Genisis:
i havent tried many games from either cept the snes mario games and the genesis sonic games

Both have equally good games, but I tend to like SNES's selection better. I think the Genesis/Mega Drive handles graphics better, but it might be my idea.

The snes and the mega drive/genesis both have weak points. The snes was meant to have a version of sm64, it was not released. The mega drive had sonic 3d flickys island/blast. I am voting sega because they made my first console.
However, if they made a snes dr who based on matt smith's run then I would vote snes.

I've only really ever played an actual Genesis.

SNES has Earthbound and Street Fighter. Sega has Sonic The Hedgehog.
Earthbound > Sonic
SF > Sonic
Gonna have to say SNES.

I can't find Sonic, Mortal Kombat with blood, Streets of Rage, Phantasy Star, Toejam& Earl, Gunstar Heroes, or Contra: Hard Corps on the Genesis.
But I can't find Super Metroid, A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, Final Fantasy 6, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island, Contra 3, Super Mario RPG, Mega Man X, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Turtles in Time, Super Mario Kart...
Yeah, it's kind of obvious which one I prefer. The SNES is my favorite console of all time.

So what sense does it make that first-party games made by a company that is in the console market would be released on a competing system. A lot of these are first and second party games that were released by Nintendo. Look at all those games, and I promise you NONE of them will be on the Genesis.

Super Mario World,
Yoshi's Island,
Super Mario RPG,
Earthbound,
Megaman X,
Kirby Superstar,
Donkey Kong Country,
and Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City (nah, just kidding. this one's not as good; I think it's a meme now).
All for SNES.
Lagoon was also pretty good IMO, but it requires lots of level-grinding and the final boss is really hard, even if you're at full level.
