This is awesome, but I don't get it. Imgur was what was used for the attack anyway.
The attack of December 26th? No, that's not correct. The images were taken from a number of shock sites - none of the standard image hosting sites were used.
Well, after images were disabled, there was a smaller attack using an imgur link
Ah! Could be - I don't recall that one. Yes, people can still post inappropriate stuff using the hosting sites. But it's one more step they have to take. Also, those sites are monitored and abusers could face consequences from the hosting sites. So it just makes it a bit tougher for the trolls.

Nope. The image has to be from tinypic.com, imgur.com, imageshack.us or photobucket.com. I suggest you actually read the topic before posting.

Could you please add Dropbox as a whitelisted source?

There's no sort of monitoring for that so it doesn't really make sense though.

We’ve reactivated image embedding on the Scratch Forums, and made some changes to the way new images are posted. To embed an image in your post on the Scratch forums, you need to upload your image to one of these image hosts:
tinypic.com
imgur.com
imageshack.us
photobucket.com
Once you’ve uploaded your image, get the url from the image hosting service, and paste it into your post. Then type the bbcode [img] tag at the beginning, and a [/img] tag at the end of the image’s link. Here’s an example:

p.s. You can also embed images that are hosted on these Scratch Servers:

scratchr.org
scratch.mit.edu

He was giving an example of how to use images, not how they'd been reimplemented.

I like to host my images on my site, but I guess I can switch to one of those hosts. Does the redirect page (I'm not saying what) work?
