OK so I was thinking a libarary sort of thing I could have loads of books on shelfs with the name of the book and the author. Then when you click a book it opens and you can actually start reading the real book itself. It would take a while to create since I would have to copy of so many books. But do YOU think its a good idea? If you think it is I shall start if not I won't. But give me your thoughts and then that will decide.

the idea is ok, but I don't think this could work. You can't just copy the book pages with a "copier", because then, you can't read the text anymore, you'd have to write everything yourself. I think this would take very long, and at the end, your project would have many, many costumes. But you could make it like this:
When you click on a book, you can read a short information about the author and the plot of the book....

thank you for your thoughts. It may take a long time to do the whole of the books but I want this project to be one that scratchers are waiting for for weeks or even a month. Thanks for commenting when I get a few more comments I shall think properly and the make it Officall Or not Officall.

Yeah. Or maybe you could just put in one part of the book to get the reader intrested.

Your welcome

That's a great idea!
However, including entire books in your Scratch project may cause it to exceed the size limit of 10MB, and it would be time-consuming to type up and collate every page of each book.
Maybe you could include a review of each book instead?

Right.

bump.

This sounds like a good idea, but to be honest, I think including the ENTIRE book would be a little too much for the 10MB limit, and possibly violate several copyright laws. Maybe only the first few pages, or a synopsis of the book?

Yeah, I'd view that! But you shouldn't put text from real books, I would be more interesting if you wrote them yourself. Then it would be a library full of books that we haven't seen before. -w-

Maybe instead of a summary you could write many different books, but each on a different project? But think: Who would want to read on a website which is mainly games and videos?

regarding writing out text from the books, can't you find them online and copy and paste them?
and i agree with honeyhorse11, i think you should instead include stories of your own, since you might violate several copyright laws by copying the exact wording of other, existing books.

Really, make them new and by you.

or were you speaking in opposition to my copy and paste thing and saying that you are in favor or original lit instead?
