I spent a lot of time and work making this game, and had some art help from General1, another Scratcher, so please try it out.
Your planet is under attack from invaders that dangerously roam the galaxy at their own free will. Your planet used to be the capital of the great Galactic Empire that stretched across the milky way and beyond. But now, due to economical failures, evil rebels have formed and are fighting against you, and everyone is nearly defenseless.
You are a pilot of the National Roop and General1 Space Association (NRGSA) fleet. Your job is to acheive warp speed by filling the progress bar three times to escape the enemies. Once that is done, you will be headed to the planet Moolapolis, where you will find gold beyond your wildest dreams.
This gold will not only bring fame to your name, but it will also give your planet the funds it needs to rebuild a galaxy of peace and justice.
If you liked it, and even if you didn't, please tell me. I love feedback! You can report bugs or glitches, propose updates for the future, and post your highscores!
you can also say anything that you would like in this forum thread.

Nice job on this game! At first I thought it would be too easy, but I somehow managed to lose before even making it to warp speed.
Definitely worthy of the love-it I gave.

Oh my Gosh! Thank you so much! You are an awesome person, thank you for checking out my game! You do not know how excited I am
The game continues to get harder and faster as it progresses, so that is probably why you lost. This game is even challenging for me.
I never thought that I would get so far into Scratch that people would be viewing my games and actually enjoying them!
One of the most happy times of my life! (Well, probably not, but up there)
I am so excited that this is a successful game! I have already 20 views in the first few days, and 3 love-its. This may sound small, but it is big for me!
Thanks again for saying that, it fills my soul with happiness

Thank you so much! I copy/pasted the intro of my game into the forums, and added some extra stuff and colored text to catch your eye.
Thank you for saying that it is a great game, too, it really inspires me!

The next version is coming out soon, so look for space battle v1.1!
And please look at my Space Battle v1.0 So that you can request updates for the sequel!

This is absolutely amazing. ^w ^
I played it all the way through and achieved a score of 152.
In the realm of suggestions, there are quite a few I can propose:
Replacing mouse control with WASD (for movement of the spacecraft) and space (for weapons).
Making the spacecraft sprites smaller, so as to allow more playing area in general.
Instead of having a single enemy spacecraft hanging out at one spot near the top border of the playing area, you could:
Program the single spacecraft to move horizontally along the top border.
Have more than one enemy spacecraft in the playing area at the same time.
Program the spacecraft(s) to either randomly move around the playing area, move down, or move down in a certain pattern (i.e. Galaga).
Making the sprites in general look like they were drawn with the same graphical style.
Replacing the current music with some more atmospheric/ambient music with a tinge of action and liveliness to fit the outerspace combat theme.
Adding a heads-up display, or a general interface, to keep tab on fuel, health, distance (from origin, until hyperspeed, or both), time, ammo (for extra weapons; assuming your basic armament has limitless ammunition), and enemies killed (score).
Adding in some power-ups (invincibility, cloaking, reflective forcefield, etc.).
Replacing the current segmented laser with a laser that extends from the nose of the player spacecraft, then making the large laser upgrade extend the height of the screen instantly.
Implementing an upgrade system (as you mentioned in the project notes) with such upgrades as extra health capacity, extra fuel tanks, larger & more powerful lasers, extra thrust, heatseeking missiles, extra weapon slots (dual-wielding is fun), mines, etc.
Implementing a pause function, and perhaps adding a pause menu to go along with that.
Adding awards for various accomplishments throughout the game (upgrade purchases, reaching a certain amount of kills in one game, reaching a certain amount of kills in total, losing little to no health in one game, etc.).
Adding various difficulties.
Allowing the player to mute background music, sound effects, or both.
Programming bosses.
Etcetera.

Wow! thank you so much for proposing all of these updates, and thank you for saying that it is amazing! I have thought of some of these, but you brought up some new ones that would really make this game awesome! I am so excited that you put a lot of thought and encouragement into your reply! It really makes me feel special! Please be on the lookout for version1.1 and I will probably have added lots of the ideas that you proposed. It means so much to me that you would write (type, i mean xD) all of that just on the single game that I made, even though I am not the best Scratcher. Thanks again, for doing all of this. It really encourages me to make the next version soon!
Thank you for posting your highscore here. You really made my day with all of this!

I just Completed Version 1.1!
Please check it out here. I was home sick, so I was able to completely finish it! Not every proposed update was added, but they will in the future versions! Check it out, post high scores, just the same as my last game. I will probably not make the next version soon, though, since I am Scratched out for now. Take a look at it and give me some feedback If you do, it will make me very happy!

Please Check out my updated version of Space Battle v1.0! (it is now 1.1) I spent a lot of time on this project (178 scripts) and I would really like some feedback on the new version. So far, this is the project that I have spent the most amount of time on in all my history of Scratching, and I would really like it if you would look at it.
It would really make my day.

Don't mind me saying, but I am quite intrigued by this concept (as can be seen by my laundry list of suggestions). I might be making a project of some similarity to Space Battle in the future, just for the heads up. d:

I didn't think so. Roop is allowed to make his posts all colorful and to post images all over (even though the smiley spam is a bit out-of-line, it's not a severe offense at all).

These are the updates proposed by Karra, an awesome, supportive Scratcher that wants to see a good future in my projects. I have told how I am with working on all of these updates in the colored text.
Replacing mouse control with WASD (for movement of the spacecraft) and space (for weapons). Completed
Making the spacecraft sprites smaller, so as to allow more playing area in general. Completed
Instead of having a single enemy spacecraft hanging out at one spot near the top border of the playing area, you could:
Program the single spacecraft to move horizontally along the top border. Completed
Have more than one enemy spacecraft in the playing area at the same time. Considering
Program the spacecraft(s) to either randomly move around the playing area, move down, or move down in a certain pattern (i.e. Galaga). Not in the near future
Making the sprites in general look like they were drawn with the same graphical style. Considering
Replacing the current music with some more atmospheric/ambient music with a tinge of action and liveliness to fit the outerspace combat theme. Being done right now
Adding a heads-up display, or a general interface, to keep tab on fuel, health, distance (from origin, until hyperspeed, or both), (Completed) time, ammo (for extra weapons; assuming your basic armament has limitless ammunition), and enemies killed (score). Considering

Implementing a pause function, and perhaps adding a pause menu to go along with that. Can't be done, game to complicated to add this feature now
Adding awards for various accomplishments throughout the game (upgrade purchases, reaching a certain amount of kills in one game, reaching a certain amount of kills in total, losing little to no health in one game, etc.). Considering
Adding various difficulties. completed
Allowing the player to mute background music, sound effects, or both. Considering
Programming bosses. Working on it right now

Request some future updates, I am willing to do almost anything that sounds like a good idea.

I think that I will start a new forum thread, since this one is titled Space Battle v1.0, which is not the latest version. Version 1.2 is coming soon, so be ready for that, and be ready for a new forum thread.
