Please could the ST keep the elections open for longer. This wouldn't affect most people ,since most people on scratch live within a couple of hours of EDT/EST, but would be worth it for people, like me, who live elsewhere.
For example, yesterday, my slow internet connection, coupled with the high traffic meant in the small 1/2 hour pocket i could use the internet at all i couldn't access scratch.mit.edu at all - meaning that i couldn't vote even if my internet connection was working voting would only have started at 15:00 GMT.

I agree. It should be open for a full 24 hours. That also means it can end at a normal time for me (6PM instead of AM).

That would be nice...what if someone can't access their computer for a day and that day happens to be the day of the elections?

Support! (Although I never voted in an election.)

They're supposed to be short so that there isn't as much time for things to get drastic, but it does seem like a critically short time (I wouldn't have been able to vote if I hadn't been able to get on the computer early).
Support, as long as the time isn't increased so dramatically

well for me it was 11AM to 11PM so it wasn't really a problem, however I don't go on scratch every day so i COULD have easily missed the election. I therefore agree that they should be open for AT LEAST 24 hours.
