I've read on the wiki and on forum posts that in Scratch 2.0 there will be variables that change online, mainly for high score lists and such. But will the updating to "the cloud" be instant or will it take a minute or two. And how many cloud variables will it allow? As much as the program can take or a smaller number, like 5?
Also, as more questions about the cloud variables may arise, you can ask them here and I will add the Q and (if possible) A of them

Q.) How many cloud variables will each project be allowed?

Q.) Will there be lists on the cloud?
A.) Probably!

Q.)will there be scripts on the cloud? Like if you wanted to program a server that everyone playing the project connects to, useful for making an MMO.

I'd expect as much as you want will be allowed, but I don't know for sure.

Oh, going to add this to the questions
Will there be lists on the cloud?
(Me asking all these questions relate to a big project I want to do when 2.0 comes out)

I don't think so, not for 2.0. In the future probably though.

Darn it. The project I wanted to do was make a whole forum on a scratch project, but it solely was based on cloud lists and variables. Time to rethink the project I'm going to do in 2.0.

Will people be able to see what the variables are set to online when they download the project? As in, if there is a highscore list. It's set to 5 zero's but it changes with the highscores. When someone downloads it, will they be able to see the online highscores or will it just be 5 zero's?

When you download it, it downloads the current cloud list.

Q.) Will the updating of the cloud variables be instant or will it take a minute or two?
A.) Should be instantaneous.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q.) How many cloud variables will each project be allowed?
A.) As many as the memory allows for.

Q.) Will there be lists on the cloud?
A.) Yes.

A.) I don't get this. Every copy of the project has the same scripts, unless it's been updated after loading.
