Techno, that's amazing! I listened to it and it's perfect. Now I can mix.  big_smile

Yeah, I agree with you, the harmonies are excellent, and that's why I cut and left some of them. My mix was messed up and horribly muffled.

BTW, what did you do to get rid of the noise? Did you simply do what you stated above?

OK. I'll be sending WIBY vocals shortly and maybe Reload because I am on my old computer now, which does not have Reaper.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Techno, please check your e-mail. I have sent you the full vocal track for MVTY. I don't have my new computer with me (I left it at school for a project over the hols) and the old computer I am typing on doesn't have much space on it. Thanks.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Alright Techno, I am early to school today (we have a three-and-a-half week break but are conducting some fun activities in school over the hols), and I used my new computer I had left there. It has Reaper and all the other mixing software, so I decided to mix WIBY in the mean time. I did what you said to the vocal track, and now we have our first (fully) complete song of Crimson Love!

I tried to improve the MVTY vocals too, but with the activities planned, I simply didn't have time. Unfortunately, I need to leave my laptop at school, which means you must go ahead and filter the vocals for MVTY yourself. Please send it soon and the album will be out in no time!

The sad song sounds awesome, but we still need to come up with a name for it.

What about Out of the Possible or something?

I'll think about the name once I figure out what the song could be about. Out of the Possible sounds like a pretty good name, and a good theme to write about too. Might stick with that.

I still have no ideas for the chorus. I could just take the same chords as the verse but I don't really want that.  hmm

Techno, did you get rid of the interference in the vocals for MVTY again?

How about 'Abandonment' for a title? Anyway, I understand you don't want a title now.

@ jslomba: Please change your sig to our one.

EDIT: Sorry, I just checked my e-mail. Thanks for sending it!

Yo guys? Am I an official band member now? If so... Can you put me in my place of honor on the first post of this forum? Pwease?  smile

Also, I think Abondonment is a really cool name for the song! But I also like Out of the Possible as it fits nicely as well...
But which is better? There's only one way to find out...

LOL, yeah, when I thought up of Abandonment, I thought it quite a cool name. But it's too early to decide a name as Techno said. And yes, once everything is completed, I'll put your name up there.

Re: Frozen Coco - The Online Rock Band

Maybe it's not too early... This is how I often decide what a song will be about - take a good sounding part of the song and keep writing about that. I think I'll be going with Out of the Possible, while still keeping the song's theme and lyrics fairly generic. One good thing about generic songs is that people can interpret it in their own way and feel identified by that interpretation.

LolaRose, I'd say you can consider yourself a member once we're sure we work out well together. DIY is mixing My Voice to You right now I think, once that's done we could decide.

Yeah, the song sounds kinda vague, so it can be interpreted in many ways.

I am mixing MVTY, but the vocals come in very late at certain points. It needs a lot more attention, but I think there is a chance that vocals will need to be recorded once again.

Techno, could you do the same noise removal for Reload's vocals. You will find it is the last link on the auditions thread, a few posts above the last post.

Can someone transcribe this song to Noteflight? My friend and I made it and it would be a good song to use for the 2nd EP.

Probably tomorrow when I have the time. Can't you do it yourself, though?  hmm

If that guitar riff was repeated before the drums come in perhaps, and we wrote some lyrics for it it'd sound good. Could be extended by repeating the verse and chorus, too.

The way the guitar sounds on that sounds like this and a few other songs on Alien Lanes to me. Not necessarily the same notes, but just the overall sound. lol
