Are we allowed to put a couple candidates in first place while voting (just three)? I can make up my mind who to put first.
They don't allow it.
Aw... Now I have to actually make a decision.

IMO searching the candidates' posts and looking at the ones before the election was announced can help Don't forget the speeches though.
The speeches count for like 30% of my decision, while previous posts count for like 50%.
You're basing almost one-third of your decision on a single post?
Yes, but it's not like it's a regular post, it's a post about why we should vote for them, what they'd do and other various important things.
Don't these things matter to you?

Not really, no; I'd prefer to judge people on all of their previous posts, not just one post which doesn't really mean anything, as they could easily lie. Plus all the speeches are pretty much the same anyway, just saying "Vote for me, I have experience, I'm very helpful" blah blah blah.
I'm not gonna criticise you for the way you vote, but I'm not gonna deny I don't agree with it either.

That's another way to vote, and it seems to work well. However, I think their speech is very important and even if they lie, you get some sort of idea of who they are and what they stand for, especially if you haven't seen them around or don't really know them.

I've been looking around the forums plenty, but I think I just haven't been posting much. I certainly do post in the Suggestions, All About Scratch, and Bugs and Troubleshooting forums every once in a while though. I know what it's like to be unfamiliar with a new programming language, so I try to spend most of my efforts there. But I also try to not say something that somebody else already said, or say "I don't know" or just include one link. I also haven't been that interested in Advanced Topics too much recently, I'm not sure why. I'm not into the modding stuff to heavily, since we'll be moving to Scratch 2.0 eventually.

Exactly, that's why i don't have over 9000 posts yet. It's pointless to just repeat something already said upthread, or give an "i don't know".

Exactly.
My posts have been getting longer and more helpful over the last few months. I try to actually be a help if I'm gonna post.

It's seems kinda cheap to vote for myself, but I still wanted to have my say about the other candidates... maybe next election have a special page for the candidates so they don't need to pick themselves It felt kind of weird choosing what position I would be in!
Anyway, voted. And good luck to all.

Me too. I only post if I'm expanding on what another user's said, or if it hasn't been answered at all.
(You were serious about starting a revolution where nobody capitalises "I"s, weren't you? )

The suspense...
I remember last year it took them a while to call the parents and announce who made it.

What you mean "we," white man?

I bet a lot of people will still use 1.4 to mod in Squeak.

Still ever careful to avoid misunderstandings, Brian Oh, by "help" earlier, what were you referring to? I'm more PHP than JS, only just started JS
