But by complex, I mean beyond-Scratch complex.
Still want in on the gist of it?
what is it?

It's a 3D tactics game set in a large city in the very near future.
You step up ranks to lead a resistance against a domineering corporation.
Every single move of yours results in something happening.
Long story short-ish.

Hmm...
I was thinking about an OS...
Hmmm, I think i can make this without the 3D...
As I said, I was thinking about an OS
Do you have any application ideas?

You said "complex game" and now you're asking us for applications? to be honest, you shouldn't need ideas for applications. just have a look around and pick sommit you want to remake. To be honest you'd have more fun and creative freedom making a game. perhaps designing an enemy AI which automatically builds a base and defends itself? The, later on program it to attack the player's base. Then, put in some fancy graphics and add extra units and buildings and voila! You have a Command & Conquer game.

Well, to be honest; I'd rather you not utilize the idea for now as I'm trying to improve upon it myself. It's more a solo brainstorming project as of the moment, you know...
You're planning an OS? Interesting.
I always had this cool idea of making an OS with tons of interactive programs (no Scratch or Internet programs which are simply slideshows of boring images) that could reward you points or achievements for certain things accomplished while using the programs.
And with those points and achievements you could like, beautify or customize the interface with? Just my two cents.

That actually sounds like a much less complex concept than what I had in mind, and probably less time-consuming and laborious as well. Cheers!

Would you care to let me in on how such a collaboration would play out?

AI = Artificial intelligence.

red alert is basically a tycoon edition of command & conquer. so command & conquer is about sending some soldiers and killing the enemy base, whereas the red alert spin-offs are more about base management and simple resource collecting. Red alert is far better, especially 2 and 3!

What you're trying to say is that you want to work on a Red Alert 4 here on Scratch, yes?

HERE!
It does ONE thing, check for power. But adding things should be easy now that we have the formula. However, if either of you think it won;t work then we'll have to start from beginning, but I'd advise you to look at the scripts rather then what happens on screen.

Do these represent the prerequisites to create certain structures?

yes! otherwise the enemy would randomly place structures for no reason. if they need power, they'll build it. if they need soldiers, they'll make them. they'll also check for some free spots and also cash among other variables.
