removing misc; possible backfire

is it just me, or have the r&p and m&c forums gotten more closed topics than misc even though one of their main purposes was to avoid just that?

Re: removing misc; possible backfire

The closed threads nowadays are because they don't fit in the new forums; in Misc. they were closed because of flaming, which is much worse. So there may be more threads being closed, but for not as bad reasons, which is better, in my opinion.

Re: removing misc; possible backfire

It takes a while for users to get used to new things; I believe things will get better in the future. I mean, there are always going to be problems with the forums, but there is an adjustment curve to new forums and new rules.

Re: removing misc; possible backfire

The problem is that people are putting Misc-like topics into RaP and MaC when you could just make a project about it.

Agreed with the above three posts. All those play a factor. And it might just be me, but I don't notice tons of closed topics there.
