Do You Approve Making Websites?

Hi I have wanted to start a website where I can blog about my latest projects etc... But I was wondering is against Scratch Guidlines to create a website and involve scratch in it? I know that the scratch team need to aprrove, but I was thinking of creating a blog on webs.com, and all the pages it's going to have is this:

- Homepage
- News
- Blog
- Calender

So how does the system work?

That should be fine.  If you're unsure, I would contact the Scratch Team ("Contact Us" at the bottom of the page) or report this (to bring a mod/team member to it).

It's perfectly fine to create a website involving Scratch, the only thing you should be wary of is using the Scratch Cat, as that may be copyrighted material, I'm not sure. So basically, it'd be best to check before using something copyrighted, but other than that, there's nothing wrong with creating a site about Scratch.  smile

So would it be wrong to use the embed code thing on one of your projects, so they can watch it on your website?

That's fine!

Just make sure your website doesn't have a forum or comment system, otherwise, you'll have to check it with the Scratch Team here. That process takes at least 3 months to complete.  smile

If you can read this you are in range.

Re: Do You Approve Making Websites?

Go right ahead and blog away!  You can also embed projects if you want...that's why that feature is there.  If you add features that allow a lot of public participation, like forums, then there is an approval process (see link in Ecliptic's post above) before you can advertise it on the Scratch site  smile
