If you are going to use a kit, you are better off getting an engine that is 4-stroke. It may be a little more expensive, but you will get ALOT more torque, and won't make as much smoke (2-strokes are like smoke grenades).

Well, 4 strokes are beyond my price range ( ) and I quite like the high end power of the 2 stokes

Haha, well 4 strokes tend to start at around $300 and I can't be bothered to save up that long

Find an old dirt bike at a junkyard (or wherever you can), and get the engine out of it.
Or find a alternator motor in an old car, and make your bike electric. Those motors are not terribly big, but could probably put out triple the torque of a weed eater 2-stroke.
