I could post a book, but after the stupid american system it would be 17+
Anybody with common sense would rate it 10+

Most people didn't thoughHow'd you get into it? I was bored at a friend of my parent's house and I saw the book and started reading it. They gave it to me when we left and I didn't stop reading :P
My sister tried to read them aloud to me
I usually read ahead teehee

I started it a while back and forgot about it. If I get around to finishing, I'll put it up
Isn't it 20,00 leauges under the sea.
I saw the movie, and read the dumbed-down version in my library.
Should you add classics, like The Adventures of Tom Sauyer?
That was a very confusing book to read, with the southern slang, and the thick southern person accent. He also calles black people the "N word", but that's what they called them at the time of the book.

Yeah it is 20,000 Leagues
Anyway
I read Tom Sawyer in third grade (sort of against the overstrict rules of my parents), so I can't really remember what grade level it was good for
Maybe 4?
A majority of the younger grades books I've read and reread so many times, but I only read Tom Sawyer once, so I can't remember...

Try 7th.
It's a very, erm, Historically correct book, so it might bit a little inappropiate for 4th graders.

You spend long enough at Barnes And Nobles to read entire books?
WHAT ABOUT ALL THE CHOICES IT TAKES AN HOUR TO DECIDE FROM

Frog And Toad orwhateveritwas
The entire Hitchhiker's Trilogy (not including Colfer's entry, I haven't read it)
I remember reading House Of The Scorpion in fourth grade and that was an interesting experience.
Sarah, Plain and Tall is good and I would say 3rd grade level
Because of Winn-Dixie was decent - 2nd Grade
And I really think Ender's Game belongs on there but you didn't like it.

That's weird, I thought I did have Frog and Toad on there but I don't
I haven't read the whole trilogy so yeah
Yes, it was a good book and is already on there
Yeah maybe third grade, I didn't give it much thought just stuck it on fourth
Again, I thought I'd already had it on there
And no I didn't like Ender's Game

but that's like censoring history
like
Humanity
we're apparently defined by our history you know! apparently history is a main part of life! (according to every history teacher I've had. I've never gotten over a B in history )
but then again the uh 'adult themes' in Fifty Shades of Grey and Twilight are parts of life too but those are pretty uh
no okay nevermind you're right you win
some aspects of life should be censored
but in regards to tom sawyer...
most kids know by grade 4 that slavery happened, bad names were called, and that slavery is bad
don't do it kids
granted when i was in grade 4 i didn't know what those bad names were!
but when I was in grade 5 i was reading books about the Underground Railroad
as part of the curriculum
so I'd say Tom Sawyer could definitely go under grade 5 :>
Offline
Yeahh
Uh
I read it this year-ish and it was a good book despite being a bit inappropriate, so I felt I should put it on
There's a warning on top of the 7th/8th grade list that some of them have content
I should star specific ones though

And she's so big over here
She doesn't do romance but she does those 'problem child' books
All the English teachers and the School Librarian hate her though so yeah :]
Also your list needs more Diana Wynne Jones
Only having one is a disrespect to literature itself
The Game and Fire and Hemlock are my two favlurites of her
But really I could be like funelephant and Nicki Minaj with her
If she had gifs

o
Now I need to know what the other one is
Oh right 'House of Many Ways'
Her other big one
I was thinking it'd be Enchanted Glass for some reason
Or the picture book about a witch

What about the Chestomanci series? Those are genius, I loved them.
Also I think you should totally read the Fairy Dust trilogy by Gail Carson Levine (around 3rd grade but still non-terrible for older people). It's definitely my favorite kid's book and also the illustrations are great. Plus, no Terry Pratchett for kids?
