Re: My Protest Against Bullying

I understand this, but there's a small issue I can see in your argument. You say that bullying is worse than war, it almost seems as if a kid getting bullied at school is worse than the holocaust.  Although war is bad, it is a bit selfish to think you getting bullied is worse than six million Jews getting murdered, or a country fighting a false war on terror, or even gang violence in the united states. Of course, were all neighbors.  If we stop killing in wars, we stop bullying.

Also remember most bullies bully because of an underlying issue.  It's something sub-conscious they can't control.

Also, a good way to counter bullying is to teach self defense classes to students upon request, so they know how to protect themselves from bullies.

Bullying is a problem, but I think anyone with half of a brain is pretty much aware of that.

It can never be considered a crime however, and a true, fair, working solution to it will be completely impossible.

Bullying is illegal where I live.

But not all forms.  smile

And if you live in the U.S. then you have some delusion of it being illegal.

Re: My Protest Against Bullying

This is really good  smile  I like the style it was written in (yours, I'm assuming). One thing is that maybe the wording could be changed, specifically the part that says "remember those days when WW2 or the Falklands War started" or something. It started over 60 years ago, and the Falklands was around 30 years ago. Not many people on here are that old... Plus you might want to avoid the topic of comparing things to WW2 because it can be a pretty touchy topic.

We just finished watching a really good movie on bullying, except it was actually interesting. It's called "Strings of Fear", it was made by a local arts high school (Cab Calloway). Considering that, it was pretty well-made and most of the acting was actually pretty good.
