Make sure you have the screen resolution set as high as it will go. If it's one of the little Netbook machines, it probably still won't fit (they have very small displays) and you may have to wait a bit for version 1.4 which is designed to work on smaller displays.

what's your resolution because you have to have 1024x768 display resolution for Scratch. I'm afraid you have 800x600...try hooking it up to an external display.

1024X768 IS STANDARD FOR FULLSCREEN, 1280X800 IS STANDARD FOR WIDESCREEN. AND 800X600 IS JUST AN ESTIMATE I MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I just change the Screen Resolution (Windows XP guy) by right-clicking the desktop, press Properties, then press Settings, then where it says like ---x--- or whatever. Move it to 1024x768. Then click Apply. TINY LAPTOP: To go to the top of the screen, move your mouse up. Or down for the bottom. I use Scratch this way. When I want my screen back to normal, I change it to 1024x600. Then, it is normal. Well, on my screen.

The system requirements in the FAQ say it needs 1024 x 768 or larger.

You can change screen resolution on a mac (yes, I think this works on hackintosh (Mac-on-PC) by clicking then click System Preferences... and then click Displays. Select the biggest screen resolution (mine is 1280x800). Close System Preferences by clicking (x) or by pressing Command+Q (on the old macs, +Q)

I don't know whether this will help, but on my Linux Netbook I open it, make sure it isn't maximized on the screen, the press ALT+F7 to move the window. This means you can drag the size of the window down, therefore enlarging the window. Do this to all sides then press ALT+F7 to view the entire Scratch program.
Nevertheless this is very off-putting for the fast, easy use of Scratch. Any word from anyone on an attachment or enhancement for the use of Scratch on Netbooks?
Thanks.

Thanks.
The last I heard, the 1.4 release was going to be runnable on small displays. It was originally scheduled for release by Scratch Day (May 16) but I think it got pushed out some.
